ptx052. Day N°3 for one of the most severe scabies we ever admit in the last 3 years... (photo during shower and second "peel" of scalp)

Day 1: After an injection of tramadol we gave a general "cleaning" with benzoate benzyle (avoiding to touch the "open crevasses" to minimize the absorption of the medicine = neurotoxic)... We gave another general cleaning 8 hours after a cleaning with water and soap... Vaseline on joints to permit movements without making new crevasses...

Day 2: Patient was a little bit sleepy. So we decided to give benzoate benzyle on only half of body and wait 5 hours before washing with water and soap... When the skin was soft and moist, we started to "peel" the skin from the body superficially...

Day 3: Neuro OK, no confusion, not sleepy.... Benzoate benzyle over all the body. and only 5 hours before cleaning with water and soap... When skin was soft and moist, we started to "peel" the body more deeply (see next photos)...

Day 4: No treatment.

Day 5: Like day 3

Day 6: No treatment.

Day 7: Like day 3 (see next photos...)

NB Attention! The neurotoxical side effects of Benzoate benzyle can kill a patient!!! Stop treatment immediately (for one day or more) if neurological exam is abnormal (confusion). Start again when neurological condition return to initial status.
